For years, Jess spent her days at Hornung Elementary, helping kids in the Brighton schools navigate everything that comes with growing up. When her own children got older and she was ready for something new, she joined the Giardini family agency (people she'd known for years) and traded recess duty for Medicare meetings.

Home for Jess is Howell, Michigan, where she lives with her three kids (Cade, Donovan, and Violet), her husband Jake, and a full house of rescues. There's Ash the lab, Cali the new puppy, and a standing arrangement Jake has learned to accept: every stray gets a serious look.

Funny thing about Medicare. Jess thought it was simple. Her parents have coverage through the Michigan school retirement system, and it had always seemed easy enough to manage on their own. Then she started training with Joanne and Cameron, and discovered Medicare is anything but. The plans, the rules, the deadlines, the gotchas. Now she's the warm voice on the other end of the line when you're stressed, confused, or sure you've already made the wrong choice. She'll walk you through it slowly, answer the same question three times without making you feel silly, and stay with you from your first call until your plan is in place. The teacher in her never really left.
